Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Quality to lead our quality operations in plastic component manufacturing. This leadership role requires strong technical expertise, a hands-on approach to quality systems, and the ability to drive excellence across all stages of production. The ideal candidate will align quality goals with customer expectations, industry compliance standards, and overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all quality functions: Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), in-process inspections, and customer quality. Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 and customer-specific standards. Oversee and execute PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and CAPA processes. Drive proactive quality planning and support New Product Development (NPD) activities. Address and resolve customer complaints through detailed root cause analysis and timely corrective actions. Monitor, analyze, and improve quality KPIs including rejection rates, PPM, and audit outcomes. Maintain robust systems for documentation, traceability, and audit readiness. Collaborate with Production, Design, and Tooling departments to integrate quality at every stage. Mentor and develop a high-performing team of quality professionals. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency gains.

Key Requirements

Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Tool Design, Quality Management, or Plastics Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in plastic components manufacturing. Strong knowledge of automotive/consumer plastics manufacturing standards and practices. Proficient in using CMMs (Hexagon preferred) and modern metrology tools. In-depth understanding of quality methodologies including: 7 QC Tools, 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, Pareto Analysis, etc. Strong leadership with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Pay

: ₹7,20,000 per annum (based on experience)*
