Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

QMS Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001.

Policy & Procedures:

Define and enforce quality standards, SOPs, and work instructions across manufacturing stages.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor QA/QC inspectors, providing training on inspection and testing techniques.

Compliance & Audits:

Ensure compliance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC). Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party audits. Act as primary liaison with Authorized Inspection Agencies.

Inspection & Testing:

Oversee incoming material, welding, fabrication, and hydrostatic testing inspections. Ensure calibration and proper use of measuring instruments.

Supplier Quality:

Audit and manage suppliers for compliance with quality requirements.

Root Cause Analysis:

Handle NCRs, CAPA, and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma).

Documentation:

Maintain MTRs, inspection reports, and quality records. Prepare reports for management review.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

B.Tech in Mechanical, Welding Engineering, or Quality Management.

Experience:

3-5+ years in a QA/QC management role in metal fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing.

Technical Knowledge:

ASME BPVC (Section VIII, V, IX), AWS, ISO 9001 TIG/MIG welding, stainless steel grades & finishing NDT techniques (VT, PT, RT - Certification preferred)

Skills:

Team leadership and training experience Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/QMS software Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
