Key Responsibilities

Quality Strategy & Systems

Develop, implement, and maintain robust

Quality Management Systems (QMS)

aligned with

ISO 9001, AS9100, and MIL-STD

standards. Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with defense and aerospace regulations.

Product & Process Quality

Oversee quality control of

mechanical assemblies, electronic components, PCBs, and integrated systems

. Define and monitor

KPIs

for product reliability, defect rates, and process capability.

Supplier & Vendor Quality

Evaluate and qualify suppliers for defense-grade components. Conduct supplier audits and drive corrective actions for non-conformities.

Team Leadership

Manage and mentor a team of QC engineers, inspectors, and analysts. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and root cause analysis.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed quality documentation including

FAI, PPAP, CAPA, NCRs, and DMRs

. Present quality metrics and risk assessments to senior leadership and defense clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education:

B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering

Experience:

Minimum 12 years in quality roles within

defense, aerospace, or high-reliability electronics

Strong knowledge of

IPC standards, MIL specs, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing

Hands-on experience with

CMMs, oscilloscopes, environmental testing, and reliability analysis

Proficiency in

MS Office, ERP systems, and quality tools

(e.g., FMEA, 8D, Pareto, Fishbone) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Certifications

Lead Auditor - ISO 9001 / AS9100

Six Sigma Black Belt

IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 Certification
