Education :

Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engg/Automobile Engg.

Experience :

Above 15 years

Industry :

Automobile components Mfg.

Technical Skill Set

Good working knowledge on various manufacturing processes such as metal forming, machining, welding etc. and Assembly techniques.

Knowledge on surface preparation such as painting will be an added advantage

Shall be familiar with ferrous as well as non ferrous metals such as Brass, Bronze, and Aluminum etc.

Comprehensive working knowledge on Quality systems such as IATF 16949 and EMS 14001, preferable to have internal auditor certification

Must be familiar with Poka Yoke, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Quality circles etc.

Must have working knowledge on FMEA, APQP, PPAP and 8D procedures

Shall possess good understanding and implementation of SPC techniques

Familiarity with Six Sigma, QFD, DOE will be added advantage

Managerial Skill Set

Shall be handling QA functions in Mid size auto parts mfg company

Shall be directly handling automotive OEM customers such as TML, AL, M&M, FORD, FIAT, and MSIL etc.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills so as to handle the QA teams, CFT and Customers

Responsibilities

Incoming, In process and Final inspection

Customer complaint handling & Warranty analysis

Process audits, Product audits and Customer Audits

Active involvement in New product development

Manage QA teams and maintain work discipline

Continuous improvement to achieve zero ppm (Customer, Inprocess, Incoming)

Manage QMS & EMS systems (IATF 16949, EMS 14001)
