Maintain and strengthen the plant's Quality Management System in line with customer and industry expectations.
Update and manage controlled documents such as SOPs, work instructions, inspection standards, and process sheets.
Ensure compliance with QMS requirements across stamping, die-casting, laminations, tool room, and assembly areas.
Prepare and maintain records required for customer and internal quality audits.
In-Process & Final Quality Control
Ensure inspection practices are followed at incoming, in-process, and final stages.
Support supervisors and QC inspectors with clear guidelines and standards.
Monitor critical dimensions, tolerances, burr levels, lamination quality, stack height consistency, and die-cast part parameters.
Resolve quality-related issues promptly to avoid rework and line stoppages.
Customer Requirements & Audit Readiness
Ensure readiness for customer audits, especially from automotive and industrial clients.
Prepare required documentation, traceability records, and inspection reports.
Support customer visits, part approvals, and sample submissions when required.
Coordinate corrective actions and closure of audit findings.
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions
Lead investigations for defects, rejections, customer complaints, and internal non-conformities.
Work with production, maintenance, and tooling teams to identify root causes.
Track corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure closure.
Implement error-proofing solutions where applicable.
Supplier Quality Coordination
Coordinate with Purchase for supplier quality issues (material inconsistencies, die steel, consumables, etc.).
Manage incoming inspection standards and supplier-related NCRs.
Support development of new suppliers where required.
Training & Process Standardization
Train supervisors, QC inspectors, and operators on quality standards and inspection methods.
Reinforce adherence to process parameters, measurement practices, and documentation.
Support process audits, layered audits, and 5S-related quality checks.
Reporting & Metrics
Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly quality dashboards.
Track key metrics such as rejection rates rework, customer complaints, and internal NCs.
Share insights with Plant Head and leadership team for improvement.
Requirements
:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Proven experience in quality management in manufacturing.
Experience with motor components, stamping, laminations, die-casting, precision components, or similar processes preferred.
Exposure to customer audits and QMS documentation (ISO systems, process audits, etc.).
Good understanding of inspection techniques, gauges, instruments, and measurement systems.
Strong documentation and QMS process discipline.
Practical problem-solving skills, including RCA, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc.
Ability to work closely with production and ensure process adherence.
Steady, detail-oriented and structured working style.
Good communication skills for customer interactions and internal coordination
