We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Manager & Compliance Officer to strengthen our Quality and Compliance systems and ensure adherence to international standards.
Position Overview
The Quality Manager & Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) across departments. The role includes leading internal and external audits, driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and ensuring compliance with GRS, SEDEX, BSCI, GoodWeave, FCCA, SCAN, and other buyer-specific requirements.
The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership, documentation, and analytical skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments and meet buyer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management
Implement and maintain QMS as campare ISO standards, ensuring process adherence across all departments.
Prepare and update SOPs, Work Instructions, PFMEA, Process Flow Charts, and Control Plans.
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished goods.
Monitor rejection trends, quality KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA, and 8D problem-solving for customer and internal complaints.
Coordinate with production and to eliminate recurring process deviations.
Manage calibration, equipment validation, and inspection record systems for QA instruments.
Audit & Compliance Management
Plan and lead internal, customer, and certification audits -- ISO, GRS, SEDEX, BSCI, GoodWeave, SCAN, FCCA.
Ensure closure of non-conformities and timely submission of corrective action reports.
Maintain documentation and evidence for all social, environmental, and technical compliance audits.
Manage traceability and mass balance systems as per GRS (Global Recycled Standard) requirements.
Coordinate buyer audits and 3rd party inspections (Target, Walmart, Kingfisher, etc.) ensuring zero major NCs.
Handle warehouse compliance -- FIFO, material segregation, hygiene, and pest control norms.
Training & Development
Plan and conduct regular training programs on quality awareness, compliance standards, PPE, fire safety, and first aid.
Organize audit preparedness sessions for staff and vendors.
Maintain training records, attendance logs, and feedback assessments as per audit protocols.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain and control QA records, test certificates, inspection reports, buyer documents, and traceability logs.
Prepare monthly QA performance reports, trend analysis, and continuous improvement reports.
Ensure documentation compliance with customer-specific quality and compliance standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of GRS, SEDEX, BSCI, GoodWeave, FCCA, SCAN standards.
Hands-on experience in CAPA, FMEA, 8D, RCA, PPAP, and Control Plan preparation.
Excellent command over quality documentation and audit processes.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for buyer and auditor interaction.
Leadership ability to manage a team of quality inspectors and cross-functional coordination.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and report generation.
Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple audit deadlines.
