About the team : The objective of Quality Function at Ninjacart is to drive quality and system compliances across its facilities and value chain with an aim to ensure business continuity, profitability through risk mitigation, driving efficiency and minimizing losses. In addition, the Quality & Food Safety function also leads the way in identifying possible risks, their pro-active solutions and ensuring its effective implementation through defined processes and systems.

What are we looking for? The Inbound Quality Manager role ensures incoming material for Ninjacart at its collection centers are as per defined specifications and drives the rigor with the first layer of business effectively and on a consistent basis to deliver material at FCs with minimal rejection levels.

What will you do? | Responsibilities

• Drive deployment of Quality plan and specification adherence across all CCs to ensure Ninjacart accepts best-in-class quality material matching relevant price point as per customer requirements to drive business profitability
• Drive capability across collection center facilities w.r.t. material handling, grading and acceptance/rejection processes
• Building people capability through trainings and skill development
• Build farmer’s capability improvement plan and ensure its execution with CC executives
• Drive capability for CC cluster leads & DPs to ensure they are fit for the job all the time and make sure NC processes and systems are not compromised at any time
• Conduct routine reviews and trend analysis to find improvement opportunities for specific farmers, CC or SKUs and monitor continuous and ongoing improvement journeys
• Ensure all CCs are compliant with basic hygiene, housekeeping and cleaning practices as per FSSAI requirements and drive accountability across the team for this through awareness and training programs on routine basis
• Perform routine facility assessment in close coordination with audit team and ensure facility compliance is adhered as per defined regulatory and organization requirements
• Work in close collaboration with sourcing, category & FC teams to ensure specs are updated, rejections are analyzed and overall return due to material quality is trending low in a planned way to improve business profitability

• Bachelor or above degree in Agriculture, F&V Technology, post-harvest technology, Food Science & Technology, or related field
• Candidates should have around 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role in related industry or work area/ profile
• Sound knowledge of Quality, Food Safety & Regulatory Systems related to agri-produce, fruits & Vegetable products/industry with basic understanding on quality & food safety management systems (FSSC22000, ISO22000, HACCP, ISO9001, BRC, Codex etc.) should be fine
• Should be strong in driving deployment across locations & cities with diverse group of people
