Job Summary

Quality Manager - Automotive Industry

Duties:

Train employees in the analysis of basic causes of customer complaints and returns, and participate in initiating corrective action Maintain and update Visual Aids as needed Provide technical training to quality department personnel Create work instructions and operating procedures for new or changed processes, as well as rework instructions for non-standard operations Interpret standards, specifications, quality requirements, and quality planning for in-plant customer inspections Contribute to preparation of control plans for each part to be used during production to maintain product quality Assure that the quality level of the finished product meets the customer's expectations Evaluate the performance of Quality department personnel Evaluate Quality department equipment and labor needs Maintain accurate up-to-date inspection and test records as prescribed by the quality plan Participate in daily MRB disposition

Responsibilities and Duties

B.S. Degree in an Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

10 years of Quality, Engineering or related experience. Knowledge of International Standard TS16949 Quality Management Systems at a multi plant level (QS-9000 as applicable for automotive sector). ISO9000 also a good plus. Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) is preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices and a hand on approach. Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis). Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills. Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Qualifications: Minimum 7 years' experience in Quality Management in a multi-shift manufacturing environment. Experience with automotive customers a must.

Bachelor's degree in closely related field Candidates must have Quality Management experience in metals manufacturing or plastic injection molding serving the automotive industry. ASQ certification preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Thorough understanding of ISO/TS16949, APQP, PPAP/FMEA, SPC, GRR, GDT, and Corrective/Preventive Action. Computer literate with ability to work all Microsoft Office programs a must. Knowledge of Zeiss CMMs a plus.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
