Perform Testing: Conduct routine and specialized tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established procedures and specifications.
Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate, verify, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
Sample Management: Collect, prepare, and log samples for testing, ensuring proper handling and storage.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Document all test results, analyze the collected data to identify trends or non-compliance, and prepare detailed reports for laboratory management.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and industry regulations.
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Investigate issues such as taste, pH, or viscosity discrepancies and suggest corrective actions or dispositions for non-conforming products.
Maintain Lab Environment: Keep the laboratory clean, sanitized, and organized, following all safety protocols. Essential Skills & Qualifications
Technical Proficiency: Experience with laboratory equipment, scientific methodologies, and analytical testing. Attention to Detail: Meticulous in following protocols and recording data accurately.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and propose solutions.
Communication: Strong communication skills to document findings and report to management.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues and make sound decisions.
Education: A degree in a relevant scientific field is often preferred, though entry-level positions are available with relevant experience or apprenticeships.
Software Proficiency: Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other relevant software is beneficial.
