Job Description

Job Purpose

To ensure that mechanical products, components, and processes meet defined quality standards, customer requirements, and statutory norms through inspection, testing, analysis, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Assurance & Control

Monitor and ensure quality compliance of incoming, in-process, and final products Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949, etc.) Prepare and maintain quality plans, control plans, and SOPs Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits
2. Inspection & Testing

Perform dimensional and visual inspection of mechanical components Use measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, CMM, etc. Ensure calibration and proper use of measuring instruments Review and approve inspection reports
3. Process & Product Improvement

Analyze defects, rejections, and customer complaints Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone Implement and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Support process improvement and cost reduction initiatives
4. Customer & Supplier Quality

Handle customer complaints and prepare 8D / CAPA reports Coordinate with suppliers for incoming material quality issues Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations Ensure compliance with customer drawings, specifications, and standards
5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCR) Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality performance reports Ensure traceability and proper document control
Required Qualifications

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience

0-3 years experience in Quality Engineering (Manufacturing / Mechanical Industry) Experience in machining, casting, fabrication, or automotive sector preferred
Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings & GD&T Understanding of quality tools: SPC, FMEA, PPAP, MSA Problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and coordination skills Proficiency in MS Excel, reports, and basic quality software
Working Conditions

Shop-floor and office-based work May require interaction with customers, suppliers, and auditors Occasional extended hours during audits or customer visits

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
