Job Description

Typically involves ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications. Duties include inspecting materials and products, conducting tests, documenting findings, and recommending improvements to processes. The role also involves following blueprints and specifications, using measurement tools, and reporting on inspection data. Key Responsibilities:

Inspection and Testing:

Inspecting materials and finished products, conducting various tests (visual, dimensional, functional), and using inspection equipment.

Documentation:

Recording inspection results, compiling data, and generating reports on defects and reworks.

Process Improvement:

Identifying quality issues, analyzing root causes, and recommending improvements to production processes.

Adherence to Standards:

Ensuring compliance with company standards, specifications, and legal requirements.

Training:

Providing training to production staff on quality control procedures.

Communication:

Communicating inspection results with the production team and management.

Using Measurement Tools:

Utilizing calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to assess products.

Data Analysis:

Collecting and analyzing data to track trends in product quality and identify areas for improvement.

Root Cause Analysis:

Investigating the causes of defects and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.

Process Improvement:

Suggesting improvements to the production process to enhance overall quality and efficiency.

Adherence to Safety Regulations:

Ensuring that quality control activities are carried out safely.
