A quality inspector ensures products and services meet company, customer, and regulatory standards by conducting tests, performing inspections, and documenting defects, working with production teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Responsibilities

Inspect and test products: Conduct visual inspections and operational tests on products at various stages of production, including raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods.

Identify defects: Find and document any deviations from quality standards, customer specifications, or regulatory requirements.

Maintain standards: Ensure that production processes adhere to established quality control procedures and safety guidelines.

Operate equipment: Use and maintain measuring instruments, such as micrometers, to verify product dimensions and specifications.

Document findings: Prepare and submit detailed reports of inspection results, including any defects found, to relevant departments.

Improve processes: Collaborate with production teams and managers to suggest and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality.

Ensure compliance: Verify that products meet all relevant industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.

Communicate with stakeholders: Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to address quality concerns and ensure quality guidelines are understood.
