Job Description

A Quality Inspector ensures products meet quality and safety standards, performing inspections, tests, and measurements to identify defects. They may also monitor operations, recommend process improvements, and document findings. Responsibilities can vary based on experience, from basic inspections to overseeing teams and implementing quality improvement strategies. Key Responsibilities:

Inspecting and Testing:

Using tools and methods to examine raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for defects and compliance with specifications.

Measuring and Recording:

Using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and document inspection results.

Identifying and Reporting:

Identifying quality issues, recommending corrective actions, and documenting findings in reports and logs.

Collaborating and Communicating:

Working with production staff, engineers, and other departments to resolve quality concerns and ensure compliance.

Process Improvement:

Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and implementing quality standards.

Experience and Education:

Junior inspectors may focus on basic inspections, while senior and lead roles involve more complex responsibilities and team management.
