JOB TITLE: Quality Inspector \xe2\x80\x93 Modular

REPORTS TO: Technical Advisor \xe2\x80\x93 Quality

JOB LOCATION: Pune, India

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Quality Inspector shall work with Business, Project, Procurement and Engineering Disciplines to provide inputs on quality aspects of Modular projects having static, rotary, piping, valves, instrumentation and package items.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
  • Manage Interface with various disciplines and provide inputs on quality, welding and NDE aspects for Modular Projects.
  • Review of technical offers from bidder to ensure compliance related to quality, welding and NDE aspects.
  • Perform / lead supplier evaluation process and provide recommendations based on the assessment.
  • Conduct Pre-inspection meeting at supplier place and attend KOMs.
  • Review quality documents like ITP, Weld book, PWHT, NDE, procedures and final documentation.
  • Perform / lead inspection at supplier\xe2\x80\x99s place as per ITP.
  • Handle TPI inspector assignment for projects. Review and release TPI inspector reports to project team.
  • Develop CTQ (Critical to Quality checklist) based on project specifications and past learnings.
  • Manage interface with suppliers and clients on inspection, welding and NDE aspects.
  • Develop work processes/tools for smooth and efficient execution of quality management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience with more than 5 years in a reputed organization.
  • Mechanical Engineering from a Reputed Institute
  • Exposure to Modular fabrication (piping, structural fabrication, installation and commissioning) is a must.
  • Exposure to static, rotary equipments, instrumentation items and package items is a must.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASME, EN and other international codes
  • Exposure in inspecting ASME Code Stamped equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of fabrication practices, QC methodologies, and industry practices.
  • Should be conversant with Heat Treatment and related requirements as per ASME / API.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Quality Control aspects of Raw Materials, Receiving Inspection, Fabrication Inspection, Final Inspection and Documentation.
  • Experience of working on materials like CS, Low alloy steels, stainless steels, Inconel etc.
  • Should be conversant with ISO 9001 Quality Systems Requirements.
  • Level II Certifications in PT, MT, RT and UT under ASNT is must.
  • CSWIP or equivalent welding certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Refractory and Painting Inspection Requirements will be preferred.
  • Exposure to KBR technology is preferred.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Manages key business relationships within KBR Offices
  • Manages interface with KBR Global supplier
  • Manages interface / communication with Global Third Party Inspection agencies
