Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, and summarizing re-work and waste. Verify that raw materials and products meet quality standards before production and shipment. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine inspection requirements. Identify, document, and report quality issues or non-conformances. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP). Maintain calibration of inspection tools and test equipment. Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues. Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:



High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in quality control preferred. 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in [industry, e.g., manufacturing, electronics, etc.]. Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications. Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, etc. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, data entry software). Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:



Certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) is a plus. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

Work Environment:



Primarily in a manufacturing or production environment. May require standing for long periods and handling of materials or tools. Use of PPE as required by company safety standards.
