Operate and maintain galvanizing equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Prepare metal surfaces for galvanization by cleaning and removing contaminants, ensuring proper adhesion of zinc coatings.
Monitor the galvanization process, adjusting parameters as needed to achieve desired coating thickness and quality.
Conduct quality inspections and tests on galvanized products, documenting results and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste.
Train and mentor junior staff on galvanizing techniques and safety protocols.
Conduct inspection of incoming raw materials (steel, alloys, plating chemicals, etc.) as per quality standards.
Perform dimensional checks of fasteners, nuts, and bolts using appropriate gauges and instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, torque testers, hardness testers, etc.).
Verify chemical composition and mechanical properties of raw materials through lab analysis/reports.
Carry out random sampling and in-process inspection during production.
Coating & Surface Treatment Analysis
Check plating/coating thickness (zinc, phosphate, etc.) using coating thickness gauges.
Ensure corrosion resistance and adherence to coating standards.
Monitor chemical bath concentrations, pH, and other parameters for plating/coating processes.
Process Audits & Compliance
Conduct regular factory visits to suppliers/vendors for process audits.
Verify adherence to ISO/ASTM/DIN standards or customer specifications.
Document inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective/preventive actions.
Testing & Documentation
Oversee tensile strength, hardness, and torque tests on finished products.
Maintain calibration records of testing instruments.
Prepare and update quality inspection reports, certificates of analysis (COA), and quality documents.
Continuous Improvement & Coordination
Suggest improvements in quality processes to reduce rejections and enhance product reliability.
Coordinate with production and purchase departments to ensure material quality.
