The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and ensuring the quality of cardamom and other spice products before processing, packing, and dispatch. The role requires strong knowledge of cardamom grades, physical characteristics, moisture levels, defects, and standard quality parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect incoming raw cardamom and other spice products for quality, size, color, moisture, and defects.
Conduct routine quality checks during processing, drying, grading, and packing.
Ensure that products meet company standards and international export specifications.
Identify and separate defective or substandard products.
Maintain accurate inspection records and quality reports.
Monitor hygiene and safety during handling and processing.
Coordinate with production, purchase, and packing teams to resolve quality issues.
Approve final product batches before shipment.
Assist in continual improvement of quality-control procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Good knowledge of
cardamom grades (6mm/7mm/8mm, etc.)
Understanding of
spice quality parameters
(moisture, color, aroma, density).
Experience in quality inspection within a spice processing unit.
Strong attention to detail and product observation skills.
Ability to prepare quality inspection reports.
Basic computer skills (Excel, email).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in quality control for spices, especially cardamom.
Familiarity with export quality standards and documentation.
