Job Description

Carry out in-process inspection of parts during various machining and forging stages. Conduct final inspection before dispatch to ensure conformity to drawings and customer requirements. Use precision measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.) to verify dimensions. Interpret engineering/technical drawings and compare actual dimensions with specifications. Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation. Identify non-conforming parts, highlight deviations, and coordinate with the production team for corrective action. Ensure adherence to ISO/quality management standards (if applicable). Support continual improvement initiatives to reduce rework, rejection, and wastage. Train operators/workers on basic quality checks and best practices. Requirements Education: Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience: 3-7 years of hands-on experience in quality inspection, preferably in machining, forging, or component manufacturing industry.
