Job Description

The Quality Incharge is responsible for ensuring that all products meet required quality standards and customer specifications. The role involves monitoring production processes, implementing quality systems, handling inspections, and coordinating corrective actions to maintain consistent quality.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs, and customer requirements Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and products Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and test documents Identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Coordinate with production, purchase, and stores departments to resolve quality issues Handle customer complaints and ensure timely corrective actions Ensure calibration and proper usage of measuring instruments Monitor rejection, rework, and scrap levels and take improvement actions Support ISO / QMS implementation, audits, and documentation Train operators and staff on quality procedures and inspection methods Ensure safety, housekeeping, and 5S compliance in the quality area

Authority

Stop production in case of major quality deviations Reject non-conforming materials or products Recommend corrective actions and process improvements

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma / BE in Mechanical / Production / Quality Engineering or related field Minimum 2-5 years experience in quality control (manufacturing industry preferred) Knowledge of inspection tools, gauges, and measuring instruments Understanding of ISO 9001 and basic quality tools (7 QC tools) Good documentation and reporting skills Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams
