: Quality In-Charge & Production Planning Control (PPC)
Job Location is : Taloja -Panvel (Navi Mumbai)
Role Summary:
The Quality In-Charge & PPC is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in the fabrication unit, especially in welding processes, while also managing production planning and control. The role includes planning, monitoring, and inspecting all stages of production to ensure drilling tools meet required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance

• Inspect inward materials (locally sourced & imported) as per specifications and drawings.
• Inspect finished drilling tools as per drawings and maintain all quality documentation, test results, and reports.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures for welding and fabrication.
• Inspect welding processes and finished products for defects, deviations, and adherence to specifications.
• Conduct regular audits of materials, welding equipment, and final products to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Provide training and guidance to welders and fabrication staff on quality standards and best practices.
• Continuously improve quality assurance processes to enhance product reliability and performance.

Production Planning & Control (PPC)

• Plan, monitor, and control production activities to ensure timely execution as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with production teams to resolve quality or process-related issues.
• Manage and control temporary manpower, including allocation and utilization.
• Support in ensuring optimum resource utilization while maintaining quality and timelines.

Reporting:
Functionally to: Plant Head / Quality Head
Administratively to: Production Head
Desired Qualification & Experience

• Education:

• B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy Engineering (preferred)
• OR Diploma in Mechanical / Production with relevant experience

• Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within fabrication, heavy engineering, or capital equipment manufacturing industry
• Hands-on experience in welding inspection, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and fabrication quality standards
• Knowledge of welding standards (AWS, ASME, ISO, EN, etc.)
• Familiarity with quality tools (5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications
• Working knowledge of ERP / production planning systems

o Experience in production planning and control.
o Ability to train and guide shop floor teams.
o Strong documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
o Flexibility to relocate/move to Pune
Certifications (added advantage):

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI / CSWIP)
• NDT Level II (UT, RT, MT, PT)
• Six Sigma / Quality Management certifications
