58 years old company, PR Rolling Mills (Pratap Steels Group Company), is looking for an experienced Quality head.

We are a hot rolling mill company manufacturing specialised profiles through hot rolling process.

Quality Management System (QMS) & Compliance:

System Ownership: Lead the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (if automotive-grade), and ISO 14001 standards.
Process Control & Metallurgical Integrity

Rolling Parameters: Monitor and optimize heating curves in the reheating furnace and finishing temperatures to ensure the desired grain structure (recrystallization). Surface Quality: Implement and manage system to detect and classify defects like scales, slivers, cracks, or rolled-in scale. Chemical & Physical Testing: Oversee the metallurgical lab for tensile testing, hardness testing, and chemical composition analysis (Spectroscopy) to ensure compliance with grades (e.g., ASTM, DIN, or JIS).
Supplier & Customer Relations

Incoming Quality: Validate the quality of incoming billets or slabs; manage claims against suppliers for chemistry deviations or internal piping defects. Complaint Resolution: Lead the investigation of customer complaints using 8D reporting, 5-Why analysis, and Ishikawa (Fishbone) diagrams.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering. Experience: 12-20 years in a steel rolling environment.
