Job Summary:

The

Quality Head

is responsible for leading the entire quality function of the plastic moulding manufacturing unit. This includes implementing quality systems, ensuring product consistency, managing customer complaints, and maintaining compliance with ISO and other industry standards. The role demands strong leadership in quality assurance, process control, and continuous improvement to achieve zero-defect production and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish, implement, and maintain the

Quality Management System (QMS)

as per ISO 9001 / IATF standards. Develop and enforce

inspection procedures

for incoming raw materials, in-process checks, and finished goods. Lead a team of quality inspectors, engineers, and technicians to monitor

production quality

and ensure adherence to specifications. Conduct

root cause analysis (RCA)

and initiate

Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

for process or customer issues. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and design teams for

process validation and improvement.

Monitor

supplier quality performance

and support vendor audits and development. Handle

customer complaints, audits, and quality documentation

effectively. Oversee the

calibration and maintenance

of measuring instruments and testing equipment. Implement

Statistical Process Control (SPC)

and other analytical tools to improve product quality. Drive

continuous improvement initiatives

such as Kaizen, 5S, and lean manufacturing techniques. Ensure compliance with

safety, environmental, and legal regulations

related to quality operations.

Employer Requirements:Education:

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Plastic Engineering. Certification in

ISO/IATF Quality Management

preferred.

Experience:

8-12 years

of experience in

Plastic Injection Moulding / Automotive Components / Manufacturing industry.

Minimum

3-5 years

in a leadership or managerial quality role.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of

injection moulding processes

and plastic material properties. Proficiency in

quality tools

: FMEA, 8D, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans. Experience with

CMM, profile projector, hardness tester, and other QA instruments.

Understanding of

GD&T and engineering drawings.

Familiarity with

ERP / SAP systems

for quality data management.

Behavioral Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to handle client interactions and audits professionally. Focused on precision, consistency, and team development.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
