. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of plastic injection moulding processes, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in implementing quality systems and driving continuous improvement across production lines.
Lead the quality department and oversee QA/QC teams in the plastic moulding division.
Develop, implement, and monitor
Quality Management Systems (QMS)
in compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant standards.
Establish quality objectives and KPIs in line with business goals.
Process Control & Inspection:
Monitor all stages of
plastic injection moulding
, from raw material inspection to final product quality.
Implement
in-process quality control (IPQC)
and
final product inspection
procedures.
Ensure use of correct tools, gauges, and quality measurement instruments (e.g., vernier, micrometer, profile projector, CMM).
Customer Quality & Compliance:
Handle customer complaints, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action), and root cause analysis using tools like 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Diagram.
Interface with customers and auditors for quality-related issues, audits, and product validation.
Documentation & Standards:
Maintain all necessary quality documentation including PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and SOPs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific standards.
Team Development & Training:
Mentor and train quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
Promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across departments.
Audit & Compliance:
Lead
internal audits
,
supplier audits
, and
third-party certifications
.
Ensure readiness for customer and external quality audits.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field. (Diploma with strong experience may be considered.)
8-15 years of experience in quality assurance/control in
plastic injection moulding
.
Strong understanding of moulding defects, material behavior, and machine/process parameters.
Working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies: 8D, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, APQP.
Hands-on experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
