Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Leadership & Strategy

Define and implement the

quality vision, policies, and objectives

aligned with business goals Lead and mentor

QA, RQC, and Final Inspection teams

Drive a

culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement


2. RQC (Raw Material Quality Control)

Ensure quality approval of

raw materials.

Establish inspection plans, testing standards, and supplier quality requirements Monitor supplier performance and lead

supplier audits and development programs

Handle raw material non-conformances and corrective actions
3. In-Process & Foundry Quality Control

Ensure process controls across

melting, molding, core making, pouring, fettling, heat treatment, and machining

Implement SPC, control charts, and process capability studies Reduce internal rejection, rework, and scrap Support production for

right-first-time casting


4. Final Quality & Customer Assurance

Ensure compliance of final castings to

dimensional, metallurgical, and visual standards

Oversee

final inspection, testing, and dispatch approvals

Lead customer interactions for quality issues, audits, and APQP reviews Manage customer complaints, 8D reports, and closure of corrective actions
5. Quality Assurance Systems

Maintain and improve

IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001

systems Ensure compliance with

APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA

Lead internal audits, management reviews, and external certification audits Ensure document control, calibration, and traceability systems
6. Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

Lead

root cause analysis (RCA)

using 7 QC tools, 5 Why, Fishbone Drive

Kaizen, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke

, and cost-of-poor-quality reduction Track and improve KPIs: PPM, rejection %, customer complaints, audit scores
7. Compliance & Safety Support

Ensure compliance with automotive, environmental, and safety standards Support EHS initiatives related to quality and process control
Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

automotive casting processes (CI/SG/Al casting preferred)

Expertise in

RQC, Final Inspection, QA Systems

Excellent customer handling and audit management skills Strong analytical, leadership, and communication abilities Proficiency in quality tools and problem-solving methodologies
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree

in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering

10+ years

of experience in automotive casting quality (with leadership exposure) Certifications in

IATF 16949, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)

preferred
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Customer PPM & complaint reduction Internal rejection & scrap rate Audit scores (internal & external) On-time PPAP approvals Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
