Define Quality Standards and systems as per the standard benchmarks and customer specifications
Work with different certification agencies to certify Big Ben products to compete in the global market
Provide inputs to enhance quality of products at different stages of production, design and documents processes and metrics
Define processes and standards for suppliers raw material and manufacturing process to ensure to get quality raw material
Establish in-process product inspection standards by studying manufacturing methods; testing methods and procedures.
Draw reworks standard guidelines by devising inspection and physical testing methods and procedures.
2) Quality Assurance
Introduce different quality measurements and control such as COPQ, to keep products quality as per the desired standard and reduce on field warranty (FFR) returns
Ensure Quality team is working around 7 QC tools, 5'S and TQM pillars to improve quality standard of current production to match with global quality standards and practices
Drive ISO and other quality standards to improve the quality of products and manufacturing system as per the global manufacturing standard
Ensure regular audit of different manufacturing processes, identify areas of improvements with different stakeholders in their respective areas and ensure improvement plans ( Kaizens) are executed properly to achieve desired results in stipulated timeline
Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends through different statistical tools for better results
3)Quality Control
Execute and implement quality processes and system as defined by quality team and adhere quality standard of products as per the customer quality standards through rigorous Quality control mechanism
Reduce on shop floor rejections and rework to improve production efficiencies and enhance individual productivity to reduce per unit cost production
Report all malfunctions to production manager/In charge/supervisor to ensure immediate action on quality issues of products or manufacturing processes non compliances
Execute PPM and FTR model on shop floor, create awareness and set periodic target to improve and monitor the outcome
Make cross functional Quality improvement team and provide report to management periodically on the progress cross functional team output and working
4) Customer Relation Management
Understand customer quality issues and resolve in amicable manner within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreement)
Visit customer manufacturing units to understand customer quality requirement and challenges
Ensure manufacturing team have taken action promptly on customer complain and implemented corrective action to avoid further issues
Build customer relation in such manner that there is less escalation of quality issues and give better rating on Customer satisfaction index
5) People Management
Define performance targets for the team members, providing them time bound feedback and suggesting improvement insights and support
Provide functional and managerial leadership to the team and be instrumental in developing their capabilities and groom employees for higher and additional responsibilities
Responsible to building and sustaining an engaged and motivated workforceo Partner with Human Resources for compliance to organizational policies and procedures and implementation of initiatives in the concerned department
