Role Summary:
The Quality Head & Management Representative will lead the quality function of the machine shop and oversee ISO/IATF/QMS compliance. This role ensures product quality from inward material to final dispatch, drives continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and represents the organization for audits, certifications, and customer quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
A. Machine Shop Quality Leadership
Lead machining quality operations across CNC, VMC, HMC, VTL, SPM, and other machines.
Establish & monitor in-process, final inspection, and quality control plans.
Implement and maintain SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and 8D methodologies.
Ensure compliance to drawing requirements, GD&T, machining tolerances, surface finish & critical dimensions.
To reduce rejections and rework through robust root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Maintain calibration of instruments including CMM, height gauge, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.
B. Management Representative (MR) - QMS / Certifications
Serve as official Management Representative for ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / IATF 16949 (as applicable).
Coordinate external and internal audits; ensure timely closure of NCs.
Manage documentation, procedures, manuals & quality records as per QMS requirements.
Conduct periodic Management Review Meetings, prepare reports and drive action plans.
Drive awareness and training on QMS, customer-specific requirements & standards.
C. Supplier & Customer Quality Management
Manage customer complaints, field issues and coordinate 8D / CAPA responses.
Develop vendor quality systems and ensure incoming raw material conformance.
Conduct supplier audits, qualify new suppliers, and improve supplier performance.
Act as primary quality contact for OEM/Tier-1 customers for technical discussions.
D. Continuous Improvement & Team Development
Drive Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Lean Manufacturing, and Zero Defect initiatives.
Develop and mentor quality engineers, inspectors and technicians.
Implement data-driven decision making using quality metrics and dashboards.
Work closely with Production, Maintenance, NPD, and Purchase for quality goals.

Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes, tooling, and precision measurement
Proven track record in IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 compliance and audit handling
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills
Familiar with GD&T, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 7 QC Tools, 8D
Leadership, team management, communication & customer handling skills
Ability to implement systems and improve culture towards quality & discipline
