Job Description

Job Summary:

The AGM - Quality is responsible for leading the overall Quality function, ensuring compliance with customer, statutory, and internal quality requirements. The role includes strong ownership of

customer relationship management

, handling customer audits, complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage QA/QC activities across incoming, in-process, and final inspection. Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (ISO / IATF / customer-specific requirements). Act as the

primary quality interface with customers

for all quality-related matters. Handle customer complaints, 8D reports, root cause analysis, and corrective & preventive actions. Coordinate and participate in customer audits, third-party audits, and internal audits. Ensure on-time closure of audit findings and customer issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, and customer PPM. Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve process capability. Monitor and analyze quality KPIs and prepare MIS reports for management. Train and develop the quality team to enhance competency and accountability.
Customer Relationship Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationships with customer quality teams. Ensure timely communication and transparency with customers on quality issues. Represent the organization in customer meetings, reviews, and quality discussions. Proactively address customer expectations and support new product development quality requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:

BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant discipline. 15-20 years of experience in Quality, preferably in Automotive / Manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of ISO / IATF standards, Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA). Excellent customer handling, communication, and leadership skills.
