The Quality Head will be responsible for leading and managing the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions of the organization. This role ensures that all products, processes, and systems adhere to defined quality standards and regulatory requirements. The position focuses on developing quality policies, implementing SOPs, establishing product-wise QC plans, driving risk management initiatives, and ensuring continuous improvement across the company.
Key Responsibilities:1. QA & QC Leadership
Lead, supervise, and manage the QA and QC departments.
Develop, review, and update Quality Plans for new and existing products.
Define inspection standards for incoming materials, in-process quality checks, and final product inspections.
Ensure proper documentation, testing reports, and audit records are maintained.
2. Quality Policy & Continuous Improvement
Develop, review, and implement the company's
Quality Policy
.
Establish Quality Objectives and ensure alignment across departments.
Implement continuous improvement practices using quality tools and methodologies.
3. SOPs & Work Instructions
Create and update
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
for Production, QC Lab, Testing, and Dispatch.
Prepare clear and detailed
Work Instructions (WIs)
for all operational processes.
Conduct training for teams on SOPs and quality requirements.
4. Product-Wise QC Planning
Prepare detailed QC Plans for each product, including testing methods and acceptance criteria.
Define sampling plans, inspection stages, and documentation formats.
5. Risk Management & FMEA
Conduct risk assessments and prepare Risk Mitigation Plans.
Perform
Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
to identify and reduce process failures.
Use root-cause analysis tools to drive preventive measures.
6. CAPA Management
Lead the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process.
Investigate non-conformities, customer complaints, and product rejections.
Ensure effective implementation, monitoring, and closure of CAPA activities.
7. Audits & Compliance
Plan and conduct Internal Quality Audits.
Prepare documentation and support customer or third-party audits.
Ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
4-5 years of experience in QA/QC or Quality Management.
Strong working knowledge of FMEA, CAPA, Quality Planning, and Root Cause Analysis.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of Quality Tools (7 QC Tools, FMEA, RCA, CAPA).
Excellent documentation and SOP-writing skills.
Leadership, team management, and communication abilities.
Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems implementation.
