Job Description

Job Title:

Quality Engineer - Machine Shop

Purpose:

To ensure the quality and precision of all machining operations by implementing quality standards, inspecting processes, and supporting continuous improvement in the machine shop.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret

engineering drawings

and

GD&T

requirements for machined components. Select appropriate

processes and machines

for component manufacturing. Monitor and ensure quality compliance on

turning, milling, boring, drilling, and tapping machines

. Conduct inspections and audits according to

QMS (Quality Management System)

standards. Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement process improvements. Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of

CNC, VMC, VTL, HBM, and drilling machines

. Provide technical support for troubleshooting machining and quality issues. Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, deviations, and corrective actions.

Required Experience & Skills:

Minimum

4 years experience

in a

Machine Shop

environment. Strong knowledge of

engineering drawings

and

GD&T

principles. Expertise in

process selection

and

machine selection

. Hands-on experience with

turning, milling, boring, drilling, and tapping machines

. Familiarity with

QMS standards

and quality inspection techniques. Experience with

CNC, VMC, VTL, HBM, and drilling machines

. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to liaise with production, design, and quality teams.

Qualification:

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

Reporting To:

Machine Shop Manager / Production Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
