We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Inspector to join our Quality Department in the aerospace and defense manufacturing sector. The Junior Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections and tests on materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities CMM KNOWLAGE MUST
Inspection and Testing:
Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using established quality standards and testing methods.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and non-conformance reports; ensure proper documentation is completed for audits and quality reviews.
Quality Assurance:
Assist in the implementation of quality assurance processes, including monitoring production processes and identifying areas for improvement.
Non-Conformance Reporting:
Identify and report non-conformances or quality issues to the Quality Supervisor; assist in the investigation and resolution of these issues.
Calibration and Maintenance:
Ensure that inspection and testing equipment are calibrated and maintained according to company policies and industry standards.
Data Analysis:
Support the analysis of quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process improvements.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout all inspection activities.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering, to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CQI, CQT) are a plus.
Experience:
[1-2 years] of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing; internship or co-op experience in aerospace or defense is preferred but not required.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with quality inspection tools and techniques, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauge blocks; knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) is a plus.
Analytical Skills:
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify defects and potential quality issues.
Communication Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
