Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished cable products. Ensure compliance with IS/IEC/ISO standards and customer specifications. Maintain quality documentation such as test reports, calibration records, and inspection logs. Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Monitor process parameters and assist in process improvement initiatives. Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding quality concerns and audit requirements. Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001, BIS, etc.). Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment. Prepare and update quality control plans, SOPs, and work instructions. Train production and inspection staff on quality standards and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma/Degree in Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Experienced in PE/XLPE insulated, AB cable/Power/Control Cable. 2-5 years of experience in a cable manufacturing industry or similar field. Strong knowledge of IS/BIS/IEC standards for cables. Proficient in quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and 7 QC tools. Familiar with testing equipment for conductor resistance, insulation resistance, high voltage, and elongation tests. Good communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
