About the Role:
The Quality Engineer will ensure that machine shop-manufactured components meet customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements. The role focuses on process control, defect prevention, and continuous improvement across production and inspection operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality control processes for machined components (CNC, turning, milling, etc.).
Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, CMM, calipers, gauges).
Prepare and maintain inspection records, quality reports, and non-conformance documentation.
Work closely with production and design teams to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support PPAP, FMEA, and control plan documentation for new product development.
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 or other relevant quality standards.
Train operators and inspectors on quality procedures and measurement techniques.
Collaborate with suppliers to resolve incoming material quality issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
2-5 years of experience in a machine shop or precision engineering environment.
Hands-on knowledge of CNC machining processes and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Proficient in using measuring tools and CMM operation/programming (preferred).
Familiar with SPC, 7 QC Tools, Root Cause Analysis, and Lean/Kaizen methodologies.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
