Quality Engineer - Construction Industry

Egmore / Project Sites (CMRL / HECS)

We are looking for dedicated

Quality Engineers

to ensure that all construction activities across our residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects meet the highest standards of

quality, safety, and compliance

. The ideal candidate will oversee on-site inspections, implement quality control procedures, and work closely with project teams to maintain accuracy in workmanship and materials while ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement

Quality Assurance (QA)

and

Quality Control (QC)

plans for construction projects. Inspect

materials, construction processes, and finished works

to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. Conduct

regular site inspections and audits

to monitor workmanship, structural integrity, and safety practices. Review and verify

material test reports, inspection requests, and quality documentation

. Identify

non-conformities

, recommend corrective actions, and track resolution of quality issues. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure quality standards are consistently met. Prepare and maintain detailed

inspection reports, checklists, and records

for management and client review. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance construction quality and reduce rework. Ensure compliance with

ISO standards, IS codes, and local statutory regulations

.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in

Civil Engineering

or related field.

3-7 years of experience

as a Quality Engineer in

building construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects

. Strong knowledge of

construction materials, quality standards, and testing procedures

. Familiarity with

IS codes, quality management systems (QMS), and site inspection practices

. Proficiency in preparing QA/QC documentation and reports.

Skills and Competencies

Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving defect-free construction. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and coordination skills with project teams and contractors. Ability to work under pressure and meet project timelines. Proficiency in

MS Office, AutoCAD

, and quality management software (preferred).Strong market awareness of facade and PEB materials. Results-driven and proactive in achieving cost and quality targets.
