CTG is seeking to fill a Quality Engineer - Test Quality position for our client.
Location: Remote
Duration: 11 months
Duties:
Gather, formulate, and create test cases, scenarios, and data needs for each user story.
Provide technical team members and users with detailed inputs for any defects.
Plan and execute comprehensive testing (test plans, test cases, and test scripts) for assigned enhancements to business applications.
Understand business flows and ensure test cases align with functional requirements.
Utilize Rally and/or ALM tools for tracking test progress and defects.
Work collaboratively in Agile Scrum teams, offering flexibility to assist where needed.
Prepare testing deliverables such as Test Design, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Summary, and Requirement Traceability Matrix.
Apply Test Automation skills (optional but desirable) to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
Support the team in adopting Quality Engineering practices, leveraging model-based Test Design and automation tools such as the IGNITE platform.
Drive improvements through metrics and analytics, transforming detection-based testing into prevention-based quality measures.
Prepare and guide the team on Quality Plans and overall Quality assurance for the project lifecycle.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of test case creation, test planning, and defect reporting.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams.
Experience with Rally, ALM, or similar test tracking tools.
Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate them into test scenarios.
Knowledge of Test Automation frameworks and tools is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate clearly with technical teams and business users.
Experience:
Proven experience in quality assurance or software testing roles.
Hands-on experience in preparing test artifacts and executing test cases.
Experience in both manual and automated testing is preferred.
Exposure to Quality Engineering principles and test automation platforms is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
