Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
Establish quality policies, procedures, and documentation to support manufacturing operations and quality objectives.
Process Improvement and Optimization:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, from design to production.
Lead cross-functional teams in implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Assurance Standards Compliance:
Ensure compliance with automotive quality assurance standards and regulations, such as APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
Conduct internal audits and assessments to verify adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Supplier Quality Management:
Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality requirements, conduct supplier audits, and ensure the delivery of defect-free components.
Monitor supplier performance, address quality issues, and implement corrective actions to improve supplier quality and reliability.
Root Cause Analysis and Problem-solving:
Investigate and analyze quality issues and non-conformances using root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D Problem Solving).
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
Quality Metrics and Reporting:
Develop and maintain key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and report on quality performance.
Generate quality reports and presentations for management review, highlighting trends, areas for improvement, and corrective actions taken.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support:
Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to ensure that quality requirements are defined and met during product development and launch phases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess manufacturability, reliability, and quality risks of new products.
Customer Complaints and Warranty Management:
Investigate and address customer complaints and warranty claims related to product quality or reliability issues.
Implement corrective actions to resolve root causes and improve customer satisfaction and product reliability.
Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance to quality assurance team members and manufacturing personnel on quality processes, tools, and methodologies.
Foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant automotive regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements (e.g., FMVSS, ECE, RoHS).
Risk Management:
Identify and assess potential quality risks in manufacturing processes and products.
Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on product quality and customer satisfaction.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Provide leadership and direction to the quality assurance team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, procurement, and sales, to address quality-related concerns and drive quality improvement initiatives.
