: Sheetmetal Quality Engineer

Location: Coimbatore- Othakkalmandapam

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Quality Engineer with 3-7 years of experience in quality assurance and inspection of sheet metal components. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, compliance with standards, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct inspection of sheet metal parts, assemblies, and fabricated components.

- Review engineering drawings and specifications to establish quality standards.

- Perform dimensional checks using precision instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Profile Projector, CMM, etc.).

- Monitor in-process quality and provide feedback to production teams.

- Prepare and maintain quality documentation (Inspection Reports, NCRs, CAPA, PPAP, etc.).

- Ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards and customer-specific requirements.

- Collaborate with design, production, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (cutting, bending, welding, punching, surface treatment).

- Proficiency in using measuring instruments and gauges.

- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

- Knowledge of quality tools (7 QC tools, FMEA, SPC, MSA).

- Experience with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality systems

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹27,601.17 - ₹43,220.65 per month
