Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using standard measuring instruments.
Prepare and maintain all inspection and test reports as per control plan.
Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformities using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of gauges and instruments.
Participate in internal audits and support customer / third-party audits.
Drive initiatives for reduction in rejection, rework, and cost of poor quality (COPQ).
Ensure adherence to safety and 5S standards in inspection areas.
Support training of operators on quality standards and inspection methods.
Handle customer complaints and track resolution status.
3. Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and tolerance limits.
Proficiency in using Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, MSA, SPC, and CAPA methodologies.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Good communication and teamwork ability.
4. Educational & Experience Requirements:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
Minimum 1-2 years' experience(Fresher can apply) in quality department of a mechanical/transmission manufacturing unit.
Experience in machined, gear, or shaft components preferred.
