Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, and other fabricated equipment
. This role is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection & Testing
Perform stage-wise and final inspection of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and fabricated components.
Use measuring tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and welding gauges.
Conduct dimensional checks as per engineering drawings and ASME/IS standards.
Welding & NDT Support
Assist in welding inspection, visual testing, and coordinating NDT (UT, RT, PT, MT) with third-party agencies.
Ensure welding documentation is maintained (WPS, PQR, WPQ).
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and maintain quality documents like inspection reports, material test certificates (MTCs), WPS/PQR records, and QAPs.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ASME Section VIII standards.
Assist in preparation of customer/third-party inspection documentation dossiers.
Third-Party & Client Inspection
Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies (TPI) like Lloyds, BV, TUV, etc.
Support during client inspections and prepare inspection reports.
Process Control & Improvements
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Report and assist in root cause analysis of non-conformities and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
Suggest improvements for quality and production process efficiency.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Basic understanding of fabrication processes like welding, cutting, grinding, etc.
Knowledge of quality standards like ASME, IS codes, and IBR (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic MS Office and email communication skills.
Qualification:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering/ITI
Fresher or up to 2 years' experience in manufacturing/QA/QC role (preferably in fabrication/pressure vessel domain)
