- Quality Engineer (Colonizers / Real Estate Development Company)
Position Overview
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all development works--including land development, road construction, drainage, water supply networks, electrical infrastructure, and building works--are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, safety guidelines, statutory norms, and company quality standards. The role ensures defect-free project delivery and maintains strict quality control across all site activities and materials.
Implement, monitor, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) at the project site.
Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, contractual requirements, IS codes, and local authority guidelines.
Verify compliance for infrastructure components such as roads, culverts, sewage systems, STP, overhead tanks, boundary walls, and utility networks.
2. Site Quality Monitoring
Inspect daily site activities including excavation, filling, compaction, concreting, masonry, pavement works, and finishing activities.
Conduct routine checks to ensure adherence to quality standards before, during, and after execution.
Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations and coordinate corrective actions with site teams and contractors.
3. Material Quality Management
Inspect and approve incoming construction materials such as soil, aggregates, cement, steel, concrete, pavers, pipes, and tiles.
Ensure that material suppliers meet company quality specifications.
Maintain material test certificates, vendor quality approvals, and compliance records.
4. Testing & Documentation
Conduct on-site tests such as soil compaction tests, slump tests, cube tests, bitumen tests, and water quality tests.
Arrange third-party testing for critical materials or activities as required.
Maintain comprehensive quality documentation including checklists, test reports, NCRs, corrective action reports, and inspection logs.
5. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate closely with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, Contractors, and Consultants to ensure quality expectations are met.
Participate in site meetings to review work progress, quality concerns, and corrective measures.
Provide technical guidance to site teams to prevent quality failures.
6. Process Improvement
Recommend quality improvement initiatives for construction processes, materials, and vendor performance.
Suggest preventive measures to reduce rework, delays, and material wastage.
Promote adherence to safety and environmental standards throughout the site.
Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
Strong understanding of civil engineering, infrastructure development, land development, and real-estate construction.
Sound knowledge of IS codes, QA/QC practices, mix designs, and testing standards.
Experience with infrastructure components such as roads, water supply, drainage, electrical systems, and landscaping.
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.

Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
Ability to work independently and handle pressure on site.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
2-7 years of relevant QA/QC experience in colonizers, township development, infrastructure projects, or real-estate construction.
Experience with site labs, testing procedures, and real-estate compliance norms is preferred.
Reporting To
Quality Manager / Project Manager / Head - Engineering.
Work Environment
Primarily site-based role with routine inspections and field testing.
Requires coordination with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal project teams.
May involve extended hours depending on project deadlines and critical activities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
