Position:

Quality Engineer

Experience Required:

2-3 Years

Qualification:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / B.Tech Mechanical

Industry Preference:

Candidates with experience in Fabrication, Fermentor Manufacturing, Sheet Metal, Welding, Piping, and Mechanical Engineering components.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

incoming, in-process, and final inspection

of materials and fabricated components as per engineering drawings. Verify

Material Test Certificates (MTC)

and ensure compliance with required specifications. Use measuring instruments like Vernier, Micrometer, Welding Gauges, Height Gauge, etc. Prepare and maintain all inspection reports and update records in ERP/quality software. Coordinate with

vendors, fabricators, and Third-Party Inspectors (TPI)

. Perform or coordinate physical tests such as Hardness, Tensile, Impact, Bend, Spectro, UT, LPT, and Radiography Film Interpretation. Support preparation of welding documents:

WPS, PQR, WPQ, QAP, ITP, FIR, NCR

. Ensure compliance with quality standards for fabrication, welding, piping, and sheet metal activities. Identify non-conformities, support

RCA / CAPA

, and monitor corrective actions. Ensure documentation and traceability for materials and processes. Promote 5S, safety, and continuous improvement activities in the quality department.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

welding processes

(TIG, MIG, ARC, FCAW), sheet metal, piping & fabrication. Ability to read and interpret

mechanical/engineering drawings

. Familiarity with

7 QC Tools, CAPA, Why-Why Analysis, Kaizen, 5S

. Hands-on experience with MS Office & ERP systems. Knowledge of

AutoCAD / SolidWorks

is an added advantage. Understanding of machining operations, tolerances & inspection methods.
