Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented

Quality Engineer

to support our mechanical testing laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality policies, standards, and procedures, and will assist in maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency in all testing and documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Gain a thorough understanding of the laboratory's Quality Policy and adhere to procedures in line with

NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories)

and

Indian Standards

. Perform

visual examination of samples

and carry out sample preparation tasks, including

cutting, grinding

, and any other required procedures before testing. Conduct mechanical tests as per standardized protocols and testing guidelines. Use precision

measuring instruments

such as

Vernier Calipers

and

Screw Gauges

with proficiency. Perform and verify

calculations related to mechanical testing

with accuracy and consistency. Should Know to run the Universal tensile Machine. Prepare detailed and accurate

test reports

and support the documentation process for

quality audits

. Assist in the maintenance and proper

management of the laboratory

according to standard norms and safety regulations. Ensure daily

attendance

in the laboratory;

regular presence in the office is mandatory

.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Familiarity with mechanical material testing procedures and laboratory equipment. Knowledge of NABL guidelines and Indian Standards is an added advantage. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely. Proficiency in using measuring tools and performing related calculations. Experience in using Machines like Universal Tensile machine is an added advantage. Good communication and documentation skills. Should Know MS Word and Excel. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.
