QA Skillset & Responsibilities

Strong hands-on experience in software quality assurance with a solid understanding of SDLC and STLC Expertise in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios Experience in manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing Proven experience in API testing for RESTful services using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or Rest Assured Strong knowledge of integration testing across multiple systems, services, and third-party integrations Hands-on experience in migration testing, including data validation, reconciliation, and post-migration verification Ability to validate backend data using SQL queries and ensure data integrity Experience in identifying, logging, tracking, and retesting defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps

Automation & Technical Skills (Preferred)

Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for APIs and applications Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test execution in build pipelines Basic understanding of microservices and cloud-based architectures

Documentation & Communication Skills

Strong documentation skills with the ability to create clear, detailed, and structured QA artifacts Experience in maintaining test plans, test cases, test reports, and migration validation documents Ability to document defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to communicate test status, risks, and quality metrics confidently

Collaboration & Ownership

Work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and DevOps teams Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies Take ownership of assigned modules and ensure end-to-end quality Mentor junior QA team members and review their test deliverables (as applicable)

Experience & Qualifications

4-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
