Job Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control systems at project sites to ensure all construction activities meet project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Quality Planning & Control

Implement project quality plans (PQP), ITPs, and method statements.

Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.

Conduct inspections for civil, structural, and finishing works.

Monitor quality of materials, workmanship, and construction processes.

Inspection & Testing

Coordinate material inspections, testing, and approvals.

Review test reports (concrete, steel, welding, NDT, etc.).

Ensure calibration of testing instruments and equipment.

Coordinate with third-party labs and consultants for testing.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain quality records, checklists, inspection reports, and test results.

Prepare and close NCRs, CARs, and observations.

Submit quality reports to client and management.

Maintain as-built drawings and quality dossiers.

Coordination & Compliance

Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and consultants on quality issues.

Attend client and consultant inspections and audits.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project-specific quality requirements.

Support internal and external quality audits.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures in industrial construction

Good understanding of civil, structural, and finishing works

Familiarity with IS codes, ASTM standards, and project specifications

Excellent documentation and reporting skills

Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and AutoCAD (basic)

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Educational Qualification

B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering

Preferred Experience

Experience in industrial plants, factories, warehouses, or EPC projects

Exposure to concrete, steel structures, foundations, and utilities

Knowledge of welding inspection and NDT (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹36,254.78 per month
