Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
Perform dimensional checks, hardness testing, surface finish inspections, and other mechanical quality tests.
Review engineering drawings, material certificates, and process documentation to verify compliance.
Identify defects or non-conformities and report them to production for corrective action.
Prepare inspection reports, quality records, and maintain proper documentation.
Coordinate with production, design, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
Implement and monitor quality control plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and checklists.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001) and customer requirements.
Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of mechanical components, engineering drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, etc.
Understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes (machining, welding, fabrication, casting, etc.).
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of quality standards (ISO, ASME, ASTM, etc.).
Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and non-destructive testing (NDT).
