We have recently established our global capacity centre in India to supplement an engineering team for a critical project for a UK based University Group.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities:

Designing and developing test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts to effectively assess the quality of software applications and systems Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and project managers, to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage Executing manual and automated testing procedures to identify software defects, performance issues, and usability concerns Analyzing test results and collaborating with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner Implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency Participating in the ongoing improvement of our software development and release processes by providing valuable feedback and recommendations Staying current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in software quality assurance to continuously enhance our testing methodologies
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus Proven experience in software quality assurance, testing methodologies, and test automation tools Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, Typescipt or others used for test automation Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest), version control systems (e.g., Git), and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality software products to end users Relevant certification(s) are desirable Abilities & Competencies:

? Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

? Takes accountability and has a strong sense of ownership. ? Results oriented and a commitment to high quality customer service.

? Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing requirements and collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

Other Requirements:

? Availability to work as per UK timezone.

? A flexible approach to working hours and location, including a willingness to travel, locally, nationally or overseas, as required.

? The role requires taking part in our on-call rotations. We operate two rotas that change on a weekly basis: Primary On-call (24/7): Respond to alerts and manage incidents with operational systems out of hours. Secondary on-call (24/7): Backup for the Primary on-call engineer.
