The Quality Engineer will support the quality assurance and quality control activities in Oil & Gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality procedures. The role involves inspection, documentation, reporting, and coordination with production and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-process and final inspections of mechanical components, equipment, and materials.
Assist in preparing and maintaining quality documentation--including QAPs, ITPs, NCRs, calibration records, and inspection reports.
Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and project requirements.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and project teams to resolve quality issues.
Inspect materials received from suppliers and verify certificates (MTC/COC).
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments.
Assist in internal and external audits.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain proper records as per ISO and Oil & Gas industry standards.
Skills Required:
Basic knowledge of QA/QC procedures in mechanical or Oil & Gas industry.
Understanding of engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
Familiarity with inspection tools (Vernier, micrometer, gauges, etc.).
Good communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work in a team and learn quickly.
