About the Role





We are seeking a seasoned

Production and Quality Engineer

to join our

India Quality Operations

team under the

Program Management Group (PMG)

.

This position is ideal for a technically sharp, execution-driven professional who can translate global quality strategies into measurable on-the-ground results. You will operate at the intersection of suppliers, engineering, and operations -- ensuring flawless implementation of Xometry's

Quality Management System (QMS)

, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across our global supplier network.



Key Responsibilities




Execute and sustain Xometry's

Quality Management System (QMS)

across supplier and manufacturing sites under the direction of the VP, Quality Operations & Regulatory Affairs. Drive supplier quality and process improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to

ISO9001

standards and internal quality procedures. Utilize advanced data tools to monitor key metrics, identify trends, and implement

corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

. Own the

NCR / SCAR / CAR

process end-to-end, ensuring timely containment, validated root cause analysis, and sustainable closure. Support supplier development programs through process capability assessments, audit readiness, and qualification of new technologies (machining, composites, harnesses, castings). Conduct and review

FAI / PPAP / APQP

documentation to ensure compliance for new and modified products. Provide metrology and inspection expertise to resolve nonconformance issues and ensure process robustness. Prepare and consolidate

performance dashboards

and

Cost of Quality (CoQ)

reports for executive review. Support internal and external audits and ensure site-level readiness for customer or regulatory reviews. Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Management teams to embed preventive quality measures early in the product lifecycle (

PFMEA, DFX

). Lead structured

root cause problem-solving

and data-driven reporting. Support

EHS

and

business continuity compliance

in manufacturing quality operations. Interface directly with regulatory or equivalent authorities when required, including certification and audit follow-ups.

Requirements




Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering (Master's preferred). 7-10 years of experience in

Quality or Manufacturing Engineering

, including supplier-facing roles in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing. Strong practical knowledge of

root cause analysis, CAPA, risk management, and process certification

. Demonstrated success in

supplier development

,

cost-of-quality reduction

, and

delivery performance improvement

. Proficiency in

SAP HANA, Tableau

, or similar BI tools for quality data management. Skilled in reading and interpreting

CAD models and drawings

,

GD&T

, and

tolerance analysis

. Familiarity with

inspection equipment

and

precision inspection processes

. Strong project and time management skills; ability to work independently in a global framework. Excellent written and spoken

English communication skills

. Ability to travel

25-40%

of the time.

Preferred Qualifications




Certified

AS9100 / ISO9001 Lead Auditor

.

Six Sigma Black Belt

or

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

. Experience with

defense or aerospace qualification standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810)

. Knowledge of

EHS / SHE systems

and business continuity practices. Experience in both

aerospace and precision/medical manufacturing environments

. Familiarity with

Zendesk, Asana, SolidWorks, Tableau

, or equivalent tools.
