Job Description

Key Responsibilities Ensure quality of machined components through in-process and final inspection. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures, standards, and specifications. Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, and process capability studies. Review engineering drawings and specifications to define inspection methods & acceptance criteria. Handle calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, CMM, etc.). Identify root causes of non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Work with production teams to drive continuous improvement in machining quality. Prepare and maintain quality documentation - Control Plans, Work Instructions, Inspection Reports. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / AS9100 (as applicable). Coordinate with customers for quality audits, approvals, and issue resolution.

Key Skills Required Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC/HMC machining processes. Hands-on experience with CMM, Height Gauge, Surface Tester, Profile Projector. Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Familiarity with lean manufacturing, SPC, 7QC tools, FMEA, and APQP. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.

Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering. Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in a Machining Company.
