The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards and procedures to ensure that products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements. They analyze quality issues, conduct audits, and collaborate with production teams to improve overall product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and update quality standards, procedures, and specifications.
Inspect and test incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
Perform quality audits and inspections across various departments and processes.
Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality protocols.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality requirements are met.
Maintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and audit results.
Train staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Support new product development and process improvements from a quality perspective.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare quality reports and assist management in decision-making related to quality issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related engineering field.
2-4 years of experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in manufacturing.
Knowledge of quality tools and techniques (Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis).
Familiarity with ISO, ASTM, or other relevant standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.
