Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field)
Certifications (Preferred):
NDT Level II certification (e.g., UT, MT, PT, RT) in relevant methods.
API certifications or practice and knowledge.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance role within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors. (Typically 3-5+ years).
Required Skills:
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
Familiarity with relevant oil and gas industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, ASTM, NACE).
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and corrosion principles.
Proficiency in using quality control software and tools.
Analytical & Problem-Solving:
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify defects, deviations, and inconsistencies.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyse data, identify trends, and troubleshoot quality issues.
Ability to identify root causes of problems and develop effective corrective actions.
